This Week's Pictures

Here are a few more pictures I've taken from the past week, just more pictures of the cute boys.

Ethan and his friend Noah blowing bubbles

Ethan LOVES to play board games, he especially loves playing "Sorry"

One afternoon Ethan was napping for a long time, so me and Austin went to wake him up. Austin yelled, "Brother! Brother! Brother!" and then crawled over and hugged him and said, "Ahhh!!" It was so cute! Luckily I had my camera nearby.

For my photography class this past week, our teachers had some "models" come so we could learn different outdoor lighting techniques. I learned a lot and think maybe I can get some decent lighting for outside pictures of the boys now.

photo101

I am taking a photography class with a friend from an amazing photographer, Nicole Hill (http://nicolehill.blogspot.com/). It's just a basic how-to class, but I've learned a ton so far (since I could only use my new camera in automatic mode before). She gives us a bunch of "homework" to do so we can get practice using our camera. I swear it took me all week to get it done, but it was fun!

Happy 4th!

I think this 4th of July was the first I can remember where Adam didn't have to work. We loved having him home! After Ethan and Austin napped, we headed over to my brother-in-law Tyler and his wife Mandi's house in Springville. Their son Nick is Ethan and Austin's only cousin, so it's always fun when they all get to play together. We went swimming, although I didn't take any pictures. Then we grilled some filets and had a big dinner. Then we went to do fireworks at Adam's parent's house in Mapleton. Adam and Tyler lit all the fireworks for us. The three littlest boys sat in little lawn chairs the whole time and watched. I've never seen Austin sit still for more than a minute, except in his high chair, so he must've really loved his little lawn chair! We got home really late, but had a fun time!

Seinfeld, Fun with Grandma, and Reunion!

Last night we went to see Jerry Seinfeld perform in Salt Lake. As I'm sure you would expect, he was hilarious!!! Most of Adam's family and most of my family came with us. It was a lot of fun and I took a lot of cute pictures (including a couple of Seinfeld), but I can't transfer them off my camera for some reason.

Today me, Ethan, and Austin invited my mom to come with us to the "Lehi Roundup Days" celebration at the park. It was so much fun for the boys! They had all sorts of blow up toys and slides, pony rides, a petting zoo, yummy food, etc. And most of the rides were only a quarter, so Ethan went on tons of them! Austin was too little to ride most of them, but he happily sat in his stroller and enjoyed the food.

Tonight Adam and I went to his Mountain View High School Class of 1998 10 year reunion. I must say, it was boring for me, but Adam had fun! And we ended up sitting next to an old crush of his, so I'm sure that was exciting for him... I can't believe it's been 10 years for him and 9 for me... we are getting old.

Another trip to the mountains...

The boys had so much fun in Provo Canyon over the weekend, that I decided to take them to American Fork Canyon today. So me, my mom, Ethan, and Austin headed to Tibble Fork Reservoir today and had a picnic and played in the FREEZING water. Ethan didn't mind the cold water much, but Austin was content to sit in my lap or his grandma's lap and eat watermelon the whole time.

I tried to get a cute shot of the boys together many times. Ethan cooperated, but I think Austin has been beat up on by his big brother so many times that he gets a little anxious when Ethan tries to squeeze him in close for a picture. I don't blame the poor little guy.

Provo Canyon

Today we went with a bunch of friends from our neighborhood to Provo Canyon. I LOVE going to the mountains, and we don't do it enough. We had lots of fun eating, playing games, throwing the football, playing in the freezing stream (where I lost my flip flop and had to go shoe-less the rest of the night), roasting marshmallows, and just hanging out. Sorry if you get bored with all my pictures, there were too many cute ones to choose from!

Thanks to Jullian and Jeremy for inviting everyone!

Happy Father's Day!

Today was a great Father's Day! I got up with the boys and made Adam breakfast. Then he came downstairs and found all the candy, poems, card, etc. that me and the boys had gotten for him. Then he opened his gift, which I will admit, is not a very exciting gift, but it was something he's been wanting and needing. A trimmer for our lawn. Exciting huh. He seemed excited at least! We went to church and then went to my parents house for brunch. We ended up staying there all afternoon and ate a yummy dinner there, too. Adam's parents were in St. George, so we didn't get to see them. Ethan and Austin love Adam so much; they both just light up when he's around. Adam has such a tender heart when it comes to his boys. We are so lucky. And my dad is the bestl; he is so patient, giving, willing to help and serve and do anything for us anytime we need it. And little Austin has taken quite a fondness to him lately. Today, everytime Austin saw my dad, he'd say over and over, "Papa! Poppy! Papa!" We are so lucky!!

Noah's Ark

Last week we went with some friends to "Noah's Ark" at Thanksgiving Point. It was a lot of fun, but it got stormy so we had to end it a little early.
