6

Ethan turned six 2 weeks ago, I can hardly believe it!

One month old, wasn't he the cutest baby?!

One years old

2 years old

3 years old (first day of preschool)

4 years old

5 years old

He had a fun friend birthday party with a pirate theme. The boys all got to decorate their own treasure boxes.

Grandma Karon came and helped out with the party

Then they played pin the treasure chest on the treasure map. They all got their own pirate hat and eye patch to wear, they looked so cute!

Next they all went on a treasure hunt and found a pirate ship pinata at the end.

After they each got a turn hitting it and collecting their candy and prizes, we went inside to open presents and eat cupcakes.

It was a wild party with 12 boys total, but they had so much fun (though next year we are definitely going to trim the guest list, I don't know if I can survive it again!)

That evening we had all our family over for appetizers and the amazing treasure box cake that a friend of my mother-in-law made.

Ethan got tons of fun presents, thanks so much to everyone who came!

And the post wouldn't be complete without a picture of Kylee (with Grandma Sue)

8 Months

I never posted Kylee's 8 month old pictures I took, so even though she turned 9 months today, I still had to post these pictures. They're just too cute to not share!
At 8 months, Kylee has decided she HATES baby food: all pureed baby vegetables, fruits, and baby cereals, she gags when I try to give them to her. But she LOVES all other big people food, so I've been mashing up what we eat and feeding it to her.
She isn't crawling yet, just rolling all around and can push herself backwards when she's on her tummy. I love that she isn't crawling yet; I am happy with her staying a baby as long as she likes. She is very ticklish and giggly. And my favorite discovery of the 8th month is she has become such a cuddly baby! When she is sleepy, she lays against my chest and cuddles up to me. Neither of my boys would do that as babies, so I love when Kylee does it.

She loves her feet, she is always holding them or sucking on them

4th

Fourth of July weekend was so much fun! Saturday morning our neighborhood had a little parade for the kids. The boys rode their decorated bikes and I pushed Kylee in the stroller. After the parade there was a big breakfast and then games for the kids. Our neighborhood is the greatest; we have so many fun families and friends for the kids.

That evening we went to Adam's parents' house in Mapleton for swimming and dinner. Adam's dad always has some new toy to entertain the boys with, and here's the latest:

The boys LOVE going for rides in it! Once it got dark we did a bunch of fireworks. Austin was scared to death of fireworks last year (and all things having to do with fire), and we were hoping this year he might've overcome his fears. Nope. He sat in the house and watched a movie and ate ice cream while the rest of us were outside doing the fireworks and sparklers.

On Sunday evening, we joined my family in Saratoga Springs for some food and fun. We ate tons of food and homemade ice cream, and then did more fireworks that night. So much fun!

Kylee seriously had FOUR 4th of July outfits, which we managed to spread out throughout the weekend. I bought her one and the grandmas bought the others. What a spoiled (but well dressed) little girl!

7 Months

Another month has passed! Kylee is FINALLY sitting up by herself (kind of, she still can't be left alone while sitting up because she always falls over). She is happy being a baby and is in no rush to grow up and learn new things like sitting up or crawling. She is happy as can be just being held and watching everyone around her. She HATES baby food and closes her lips tight whenever I try to feed her. She loves mashed potatoes, watermelon, bananas, and grapes. She is always happy and laughs at anyone that looks her way.

School's Out

I can't believe that Ethan is finished with kindergarten! I remember first grade so well, I can't believe he is old enough to be in first grade next year!
The last week of school there was a big dance festival for the whole school. Each grade learned a dance and performed it for all the parents. They were all so cute. Poor Ethan, we went to find him afterwards and he was laying on the ground in tears. It turns out he was really sick, so we had to run inside with him and we barely made it to the bathroom in time. I took him home early and he had to miss the kindergarten teddy bear picnic that afternoon. He was disappointed, but truthfully I was relieved because I was already having a lot of anxiety about him eating outside with a couple hundred kindergartners, most of whom would be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and would surely get it smeared all over their hands and faces, and then touch him. And since he's deathly allergic to peanuts, that would not be a good thing.
The last week of school they did lots of fun stuff. Every day had a theme: cowboy day, circus day, occupation day, etc. Ethan loved all of it, and really loved his first year of school.

Itty Bitty Baseball

Austin played Itty Bitty Baseball at the Legacy Center last month. It was his first time doing anything like this, and he was very hesitant, but in the end he loved it.

The boys were not wanting to take any pictures

We finally got a picture of all of us, but we were looking pretty raggid by the end of the day

All my pictures from spring break were on my mom's camera, so I'm just finally getting around to posting them. I took the boys to St. George over Ethan's spring break. Adam had to work, so I invited my mom and sister to come with us. We spent our time swimming, eating, playing games, going hiking in Zion for a day, and hiking sand dunes. I hadn't been to Zion since I was a little girl and it was so fun to go back and relive all the fun memories I have from all our trips there when I was little. The boys loved the little hikes we took. We'll definately be going back again.
