Children's Museum

On Adam's day off this week, we decided to take Ethan and Austin to the Gateway Discovery Children's Museum in Salt Lake. The boys loved it and could've stayed all day if we let them. Austin had tons of fun crawling around the toddler play area, and Ethan could've played with the balls forever.
They have a special section of the museum right now with a Sesame Street theme that teaches you all about the human body. Well, one part was about digestion, showing how you chew, your stomach, intestines... and then poo. Yes, look at that picture of Ethan. You push the red button and you see "poo" come down. So gross. Ethan thought it was hilarious.

Easter part 2

Here are a few more pictures from Easter.
At church the Primary kids got up and sang. I thought Ethan would refuse to go up (like he refuses to go to Primary), but he happily got up there and sang along even though he didn't know the songs. After we came home and ate lunch and napped, we went my parent's house for dinner. They had a hunt for Ethan there and he got soooo much candy (mainly Smarties, his favorite).

Easter Fun

Last weekend, our neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt. It was a lot of fun, but soooo cold!

We went to my parent's house a few days ago to dye eggs. It was Ethan's first experience with it. He had a lot of fun, but 4 or 5 eggs, he was ready to get up and play.

On Easter Sunday, we got up and Ethan saw all the eggs and candy that the Easter Bunny had left him. As he looked around the room at all the eggs, he said, "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" It was so cute, he had so much fun.

New photographers in the family

My sister Kristin and my brother Ryan (http://www.blueskymediautah.com/) have both gotten into photography in the last few months, so I've been lucky enough to have them take some pictures of my kids. Here are a few of my favorites that they've taken and sent me.

What a sad picture, huh?

Loving the Warm Weather

I absolutely HATE the long, cold, snowy, dark winters here in Utah. Lately we've been seeing some kind of warm weather (low 50's, which is great compared to the 20's and 30's) so we've been spending some time at our neighborhood park. Ethan FINALLY pedals his tricycle. Last summer he stubbornly refused to even try to pedal, but now he is a pro and goes so fast. He got a bike for Christmas, so we are going to start working on that soon. Austin loves going down the slide and crawling up and down the playground. And I love taking them to the park because it wears them out and makes them ready for an early bedtime.

This is when I knew it was time to go home. Poor Austin went to the doctor today to see what the bumps on his eyelid were (just excema it turns out), but we also found out he had an ear infection. Poor kid. He had so much fun at the playground, but when you're sick you can only stay happy so long.

Superman!

Our friends Jullian and Jeremy watched Ethan last week and she took these cute pictures of Ethan and Cohen playing Superman. They ran around the house with their capes for 45 minutes.

The Big Top

Kristin & Ethan

Ethan was watching some cute fluffy poodles go down a slide, this was definately his favorite part, as you can tell by the picture.
Me and Kristin

Adam and I eating our favorite treat: Dippin Dots!!

We got free tickets to the Jordan World Circus last night, so we left Austin home with Grandma Sue and invited my sister Kristin to come with us. I was a little nervous about how Ethan would handle sitting still for that long (he never sits still for more than a few minutes, he doesn't even like to watch movies, he'd rather be running around). But he actually did pretty well, as long as he had treats to munch on and could sit on Kristin's lap. It was a lot of fun!

Skiing!!

Although Adam grew up in Utah, he has never been into skiing. In fact, he hadn't been in about 15 years. I used to go fairly often when I was in college and childless, but I haven't been since I had kids. So Adam decided to take me skiing for a Valentine's Day present. Our wonderful sister-in-law Mandi came over for the day to watch our kids, and Adam and I headed to Alta. Adam caught on pretty fast considering how long it had been. It was beautiful weather that day and we had so much fun. We definately need to do it more often.
