BYU

Ethan went to his first BYU football game last weekend. BYU played Florida State, and everyone was expecting BYU to win, including me, but unfortunately it didn't happen. I still had a lot of fun watching Ethan seeing the stadium for the first time and answering all his football questions (or making up answers to those questions I didn't know). Our seats were awesome, 5th row (thanks Papa Steve!). Thanks also to my sister-in-law Mandi who watched Austin for us!

Ethan brings these toys (The Little Einsteins)with him EVERYWHERE! He insisted on a picture with them...

My cute niece and nephew

A few weeks ago I took some family pictures for my Adam's brother, Tyler, and his wife, Mandi, and my cute niece and nephew. I have ZERO experience taking pictures for others, I've only practiced on my own kids. But they turned out pretty cute, despite my lack of experience. It was a lot of fun and I hope I can do it for them again sometime!

30

Adam turned 30 last week, but wasn't home to celebrate with us. That's because he was off with three of his guy friends in Dallas for the big BYU vs Oklahoma football game. The game was AMAZING, not to mention their awesome seats and the huge new Dallas Cowboys stadium. I wish I could've been there, too!
Since he was gone on his birthday, we celebrated this week with a fun party at my parent's house. We had our families and a few friends over for a golf-themed party.
We had a lot of fun, and don't worry Adam, as my Dad said, "Your 30's are the new 20's!"

Right where Adam is standing is where their seats were, 16th row I think.

That thing is huge!

On my parent's deck right before the party started. There's my almost 33-week belly... only about 7 weeks left!

The golf bag cake I made... it didn't turn out quite as good as I'd hoped, but I figured if a 5 year old can tell what it is, it can't be too bad.

Kindergarten

How can I have a child in Kindergarten!?!? Ethan started Kindergarten about a week ago. I was pretty nervous for him because he had such a hard time starting preschool last year and the year before; it was such a nightmare. Luckily, he's grown up a lot in the last year and he did great! He loves it and really enjoys riding the bus, too. Before the school year started, I was also really worried about how supportive the school would be in dealing with his life threatening peanut and almond allergies. So far, I've been really relieved because his teacher seems to really be on top of things.

Austin was pretty sad when we left Ethan at school on the first day. He's had so much fun having his brother around all summer, and he cried when we left the school.

Night at the County Fair

We took Ethan and Austin to the Utah County Fair last week. The boys rode a lot of rides and got to see all kinds of sheep, cows, rabbits, and chickens. And we got to eat some fair food, which is always delicious.

Ethan and Adam rode the swings, which Ethan declared as his very favorite ride at the fair.

Aunt Kristin and Ethan on the ferris wheel.

Austin loved all the rides, but especially the boats and the train.

And there's a view of my growing belly, about 29 weeks pregnant.

27 weeks!

I forgot to post the pictures from my ultrasound almost 2 weeks ago. They normally don't do ultrasounds at this visit, but because they weren't 100% sure of the gender when they did it a month earlier, my doctor made sure the ultrasound tech could fit me in really quick. Sure enough, she verified it was most definately a girl! I was pretty sure it was, but I wanted to be 100% before I did much more shopping/painting/decorating. She is still breech, but there's still lots of time left, so hopefully that'll change soon. We didn't get a good profile shot of her face because the umbilical cord was in the way, but they got a cute shot of her hands right in front of her face in a position that looked like she was praying. I am having A LOT of Braxton Hicks contractions, so my doctor wants to keep a really close eye on it to make sure it doesn't turn into pre-term labor. Everything is healthy otherwise, so I'm sure it'll turn out fine.

St. George

We took the boys to St. George this weekend and also invited along our good friends, the Fugal's. It was super hot (probably close to 110!), but we stayed inside or at the pool most of the time. Ethan and Maddie hit it off and had tons of fun playing "house" together every spare minute. Unfortunately, I only got a few pictures from the weekend, and none of the grownups.
