Fire Station

Our neighborhood playgroup went to the local firestation this week. We usually don't go to playgroup (it's on Adam's day off so we'd usually rather spend it with him than at playgroup), but the boys were very excited to take a tour of the fire station. First they watched an Elmo Fire Safety video, then they got to go into the garage and see all the fire trucks and ambulance. Each kid got a fire hat to take home. The boys had so much fun, and loved sitting inside the fire truck.

Here are the boys watching the Elmo video. Austin sat in Ethan's lap the whole time, it was so sweet!

4 Months

I'm a little late with this 4 month post, Kylee's actually almost 5 months, but oh well!
At 4 months:
-She is getting so tall! She is starting to grow out of her 3-6 month clothes already. And she's getting nice and chunky too!
-She is very ticklish; she even starts laughing if she sees your hands coming towards her to tickle her.
-She's a pretty quiet baby, but if she wants attention, she can squeal pretty loudly!
-She smiles at anyone who smiles at her.
-When Adam gets home from work, she squeals, kicks wildly, and waves her arms around til he hold her.
-She LOVES her big brothers, and they love her. I thought by now, the newness of a baby might've worn off, but nope, they get just as excited to see her now as they did when she was a newborn.
-Kylee is no longer sleeping through the night. Boo! Her week-long stint in the hospital has permanently made her wake up every 3 hours. I keep waiting, thinking she'll go back to her old routine of sleeping 12 hours a night, but it's not happening. So I think it's about time to let her cry it out, cause I'm sick of being tired every day!

Fun in the Sun

We escaped to some warmer weather in St. George over the weekend (not much warmer, but at least there was no snow there!). Our friends, the Fugals, came with us, so Ethan and Austin had a great time playing with their cute girls and watching baby Jack crawl everywhere. And Kylee loved being held by their girls. Despite a visit to the InstaCare for a case of Strep throat (Ethan), we had lots of fun eating, going on walks, swimming, golfing, shopping, etc.

Ethan looks a little out of it in these pictures, due to the strep throat. Poor kid was a little trooper and still had lots of fun despite feeling yucky.

Go Jazz

A friend of Adam's got us a suite at a recent Utah Jazz game, so we invited some friends and coworkers to come with us. The kids had fun eating all the snacks and drinks and running around together. We even had a visit from the Utah Jazz dancers, much to the delight of all the men in our suite. The Jazz won and it was a great game, though I didn't get to see much since I was watching the kids or talking to friends most of the time.

I love Ethan's face, he looks so embarrassed and awkward! The Jazz dancers LOVED Kylee.

3

Austin turned 3 last week, I can't believe it! On his actual birthday, he opened a few presents from us. His favorite was a Gordon train that he's been asking for for months. He was ecstatic, as you can see in the picture.

On Saturday night we had a party with extended family at Chuck E. Cheese's. It was a zoo there! We ate pizza and Thomas the Train cupcakes, and everyone played endless arcade games.

Austin loves going to Chuck E. Cheese's, but he is scared to death of the actual Chuck E. Cheese. He refused to go anywhere near him all night, which is why we only got a picture of Ethan with him.

Here's Kylee in one of her Valentines outfits. Look at all that drool!!

Austin is seriously the sweetest, happiest boy I've ever met. He loves to talk and says the cutest, funniest thingson a daily basis. He is so laid back and goes out of his way to share and help his big brother, even when Ethan isn't being very nice to him. He worships Ethan! We are so blessed to have him in our family.

Kylee's Blessing Day

This is a little overdue, but I had to post it. We had Kylee's blessing at church the second Sunday in January. She wore the same dress that I wore when I was blessed as a baby. This dress is over 100 years old and was worn by my Grandpa's brother as a baby. It is beautiful and completely hand made. The blessing Adam gave him was so sweet; she is lucky to have such a wonderful daddy. Afterwards, we had all our family over to our house for a brunch with crepes, muffins, bagels, and fruit.
